Sweet P

What’s with Pshaw?  It’s an exclamation used to express irritation, disapproval, contempt or disbelief, or so they say. But how is it pronounced? PEE-shaw? Puh-SHAW?  I’ve heard both. However my home dictionary (Webster’s Ninth New Collegiate) says it’s just pronounced Shaw.  As does dictionary.com.  But this is wrong. Wrong.  WRONG!!  Words beginning with P should have a P sound (except for pterodactyl which doesn’t count because it’s extinct). Personally, I just think the only time you should have a silent P is when there’s someone in the stall next to you and you’re trying to be discreet.
